Canadian model has been left partially blinded after a botched eye tattoo; an experience which has left her considering taking her own life.

Bad reactions to anything from beauty products to surgical cosmetic treatments can happen to literally anyone – even if you see the best person in the biz or use the most expensive product ever, there’s always a risk involved that you are the one person who has a bad reaction to something in the formula or the treatment itself. Pessimistic as that is, it’s true ok?

Obviously, doing your research thoroughly is important as hell. And that’s exactly what 24 year old Canadian model Catt Gallinger is warning anyone considering eye tattoos, a procedure she recently had done, to do before going under the needle. Because her results? Not. Good.

“I am NOT sharing this with you to cause trouble, I am sharing this to warn you to research who you get your procedures by as well as how the procedure should be properly done,” she says in a public Facebook post that’s since gone viral.

Catt had the procedure done in early September, and three weeks later had the horrific reaction you can see above. She insists she followed all aftercare instructions and wasn’t around any furry animals and washed her hands any time she had to go near her eye.

This was caused by undiluted ink, over injection, not enough/smaller injections sights,” she states. “I was on antibiotic drops for the first week and a half and have been on steroid drops for four days now, with little success at bringing down the internal swelling. The external swelling lasted for almost a week.”

Catt’s hoping she’ll regain her full eyesight again, but it’s definitely a sobering reminder that cosmetic procedures can go really, really wrong if you’re not careful. Stay safe out there, mates.
